AUDIOMETER BERBASIS MIKROKONTROLLER AVR ATmega 8535
Abstract
Audiometer is a medical instrument used to measure a person's hearing threshold level, by generating sound with a certain intensity and frequency. In audiometer manual system, the inspection process is done by selecting a variety of intensities and frequencies via key presses to be heard to the patient using a pair of earphones, then the patient will be a show of hands in response to hearing the sound (Rukmini, 2000).
In this study, has been made ATmega AVR microcontroller based audiometer 8535 as a measure of the value of the threshold of hearing. This tool is equipped with diagnostic display shown on the LCD and a correction factor of 2 dB. This research was conducted to determine the ability level of the maximum intensity value generated audiometer and the intensity level of accuracy values. The determination of the intensity level is done by measuring the audiometer using the sound level meter. Frequencies used in this tool is 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1kHz, 2 Khz, 4KHz, and 8 KHz .. Rising levels of dB and frequency automatically.
Issued oscillator frequency is the lowest frequency that the election through a multiplexer. The first event of external interrupts in suppressing the patient then the value will be reduced by 10 dB frequency will then start plus 2 dB as a correction factor. Furthermore, there has been an interruption to the two then the frequency will be increased to the next frequency. Once the maximum value of the frequency and dB microcontroller will release the results in the form of hearing loss a person's diagnosis.
Frequency measurements with an average error rate of <10%, 0% means outputan frequency oscillator fit for use. Similarly, measurement of power levels (dB) have an average error rate of <10% is 4.47% so it is feasible to diagnose the threshold of hearing.
