PERAN ORANG TUA PADA ANAK DENGAN GANGGUAN PEMUSATAN PERHATIAN (ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVE DISORDERS) THE ROLE OF PARENT IN CHILDREN WITH ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVE DISORDERS

Abstract


Gangguan Pemusatan Perhatian/hiperaktif sering disebut sebagai ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorders). Hiperaktif ditandai dengan adanya  ketidakmampuan anak untuk memusatkan perhatiannya pada sesuatu yang dihadapi, sehingga rentang  perhatiannya sangat singkat waktunya dibandingkan dengan anak normal. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi peran orang tua pada anak dengan hiperaktif di SD Bhakti Wiyata Surabaya. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif. Populasi penelitian adalah semua orang tua yang memiliki anak usia 6-12 tahun dengan hiperaktif, besar sampel 17 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel total sampling. Variabel penelitian yaitu peran orang tua pada anak 6-12 tahun dengan hiperaktif. Alat pengumpulan data dengan kuesionaer. Analisis data secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan peran orang tua dalam pengobatan anak hiperaktif yang paling dominan adalah cukup sebanyak 9 orang (52,9%). Peran orang tua dalam mendidik anak hiperaktif yang paling dominan adalah cukup sebanyak 10 orang (58,8%). Peran orang tua dalam pemberian makanan tepat yang paling dominan adalah cukup sebanyak 7 orang (41,2%). Disarankan  kepada orang tua yang memiliki anak hiperaktif hendaknya meluangkan waktu berkonsultasi dengan ahli pediatri dan psikologi, membuatkan jadwal harian serta meminimalkan makanan yang tidak boleh diberikan pada anak hiperaktif tersebut.

Hyperactivity is a behavioral pattern in children who show an attitude is not independent, not paying attention and impulsivity. Hyperactivity is characterized by the inability of children to focus onsomething that is encountered, so that his attention span is very short time compared with normal children. This hyperactivity can cause a disruption if not identified and treated appropriately. Among others, the risk of barriers to learning ability, decreased level of convidence, experience social problems, difficulities of adaptation in the family and other problems that have the potential to affect long. The purpose of this study was to deterline the role of parent in children 6-12 years with concentration problems/hyperactivity in elementary Bhakti Wiyata Surabaya. The research method used in this study is descriptive and data collection with kuesionaer. Variables studied the role of parent in children 6-12 years with concentration problems / hyperactivity. Population was all parent who have children aged 6-12 years with concentration problem / hyperactivity, large sample of 17 individuals with a total sampling techniques. Data prosessing result were tabulated as percentages and then categorized based on the result of good, sufficient and less. The results showed that the role of parents in the treatment of hyperactive children pretty well dominated by as many as 9 people (52,9 %), the role of parent in  the provision of approproate foods is dominated by quite as many as 10 people (58, 8 %), the role of parent in the provision of appropriate foods is dominated by quites as many as 7 people (41,2 %). It is expected of parent who have children with concentration problems / hyperactivity can take the time to consult with apediatrician and psychologist, made a daily schedule, and minimizefoods that should not be given to hyperactive children.
