Abstract
Disease Hepatitis C was an inflammation of the liver cells caused by Hepatitis C Virus
can be transmitted through the use of needles tattoo unsterile. This research aims to percentage of
screening detection of Hepatitis C virus antibodies in people who used tattoos. The method used is
the immunochromatography rapid test. The research results obtained as many as 25 samples and
have results of non reactive to the examination of anti -HCV i.e 25 people
reactive of Hepatitis C virus antibodies, who indicate absence of virus Hepatitis C. Need further
research regarding the detection of Hepatitis C virus antibodies in people who use tattoos with
methods such as ELISA or PCR.
