Abstract

In Indonesia, the mosquito Aedes aegypti spread both at home and in public places-rumh. Aedes
aegypti is the cause of an outbreak of dengue. Many activities undertaken to reduce such outbreaks,
One "3M" Draining, Closing, Pile up. However these efforts are less than optimal. To kill the larvae
of Aedes aegypti can use natural insecticides. One of the plants used are flower ylang (Cananga
odorata) contained as essential oil content of saponins, flavonoids and poilifenol and there is the
content of linalool, geraniol and eugenol.
The research problems that there were any influences of the concentration of ylang flower stew
(Cananga odorata) against Aedes aegypti larvae mortality. The purpose of this study was to
determine the effect of the concentration of ylang flower stew (Cananga odorata) on Aedes aegypti
larvae mortality.
This type of research was experimental. There were 11 groups and replication or repetition as much
as 3 times and the whole experiment as much as 33 times. The sampels were being examined that
were the larvae of Aedes aegypti larvae were bred as many as 660 in the Entomology Laboratory of
East Java Provincial Health Office. The statistical test used was ANOVA and continued to further test
that Tukey HSD.
The results of the data analysis ANOVA test showed that there was influence of the concentration of
ylang flower stew (Cananga odorata) on Aedes aegypti larvae mortality with (p <0.05). Tukey HSD
results showed effective concentration to inhibit the death of larvae of Aedes aegypti is the
concentration of 90% and 100% concentration.
