HUBUNGAN BERAT BADAN LAHIR RENDAH DENGAN KEJADIAN ASFIKSIA NEONATORUM DI RUANG NEONATUS RSUD SIDOARJO

Abstract

ABSTRACT

                       The number of baby with low body rate ( BBLR) and Asfixia is high in East Java as found Neonatus Room of RSUD Sidoarjo. It showed that 314 cases of BBLR, at 2005,441 cases, in 2006,462 recorded in

2005,49 cases, in 2006 and 137 in 2007, 89 out of 162 BBLR cases from January to  April 2008, suffered in from Asfiksia. The study intended to seek the relation between BBLR and Asfiksia Neonatorum evenst. The study  applied descriptive correlational design and cross sectional approaach in BBLR patiens as independent variable whereas asfiksia Neonatorum events. As dependent variable.Simple random sampling used to identity the samples. Observation and medical record were used to data collection which is then analised using Fisher’s Exact  tes. The research revealed that from 36 babies with BBLR 18, babies BBLR ,16 babies  with very BBLR and 2. etremely low .The Babies with Asfiksia suffered by 25 babies. Therefore ,it is Conclusion that there is significan relation between BBLR and the prevalence of asfixia..
