Abstract

ABSTRACT

            Nutritional intake still a problem in Indonesia. In 2005, 28% of 18 million infants (1-5 yo) suffers from low nutrition intake and 8.8% of malnutrition. Food intake is crucial on fulfilling the adequate nutrition among infants. The research intended to figure out the relation between eating pattern and fulfillment of nutrition of infants in Plumbon village, Porong Sidoarjo. A cross sectional and analitical analysis applied in this research. The samples involve 28 mother with infants. A set of questionairre is developed to collect the data which then descriptively anaysed. The results showed that 14 infants (50%) have adeqaute eating pattern and 11 infants (39%) suffer from malnutrition. It is suggested the importance paying concern to the eating habit of infants to reach optimal growth and development.
