ABSTRACT

 

Mother’s milk is a fat emulsion containing protein solution, lactose in the organic salts that secreted by mother’s breast gland, as food for baby. Factors that influence ASI (mother’s milk) production is nutrition factor, husband support, feeding technique, social factor and psychological factor. The purpose of this research is to find out the relation between anxiety level and the time of breast feeding for post partum mother at working area of BPS in Prambon Local Government Clinic, Sidoarjo Regency. This research uses analytic research with Cross sectional design. The population are mothers that giving  birth in the working area of Prambon Local Government Clinic  in 1 month. The sample are 32 mahasiswats and selected using Cluster Sampling and Proportional Random Sampling technique. The data were collected using questionnaire and analyzed using Spearman Rank correlation test with significant level of 0.05. The result shows that  α>P, therefore Ho is declined meaning that there is a relation between anxiety level and breasfeeding time. Breasfeeding production is maximized and quicker when post partum mother able to control her anxiety.
