PENURUNAN TEKANAN DARAH MENGGUNAKAN JUS MENTIMUN

Abstract


ABSTRAK

 

Hipertensi merupakan suatu keadaan dimana seseorang mengalami peningkatan tekanan darah diatas normal yang mengakibatkan peningkatan angka kesakitan dan kematian. Timun atau mentimun merupakan salah satu tanaman yang dapat mengobati penyakit hipertensi. Mentimun mengandung mineral potassium, magnesium, dan pospor. Selain itu mentimun juga bersifat diuretik. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi efektifitas pemberian jus mentimun terhadap perubahan tekanan darah pada pasien hipertensi di Puskesmas Sidoarjo. Jenis penelitian   adalah Quasy Experiment dengan rancangan One group pre post test design. Populasi penelitian semua pasien hipertensi ringan pada wanita usia 45-54 tahun wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sidoarjo. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 20 orang pasien hipertensi yang diambil secara Simple Random Sampling . Variabel independen adalah pemberian  jus  mentimun  dan  Variabel  dependen  adalah  perubahan  tekanan  darah.  Lokasi  penelitian  di Puskesmas Sidoarjo. Instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar observasi dan jus mentimun. Analisis data menggunakan uji wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan seluruh pasien (100%) mengalami hipertensi ringan sebelum mengkonsumsi jus Mentimun. Lebih dari setengah (70%) pasien mengalami perubahan tekanan darah menjadi normal. Pemberian jus mentimun efektif menurunkan tekanan darah.

ABSTRACT

 

Cucumber fruit (Cucumis sativus; Morinda citrifolia) taht called pace as vegetable or herb, it can help blood pressure descending. The function of scopoletin that contained in cucumber fruit is widened blood vessel that constriction. The purpose of this research is to analize the effectiveness of giving cucumber juice about changes in blood pressure to hypertension patient at Sidoarjo helth center. The type of this reserch is Quasy Experiment and it was carry at Sidoarjo health center. The count of sample is 10 respondent wiht random sampling of total population. The independent variable is giving cucumber juice to hypertension patient and the dependent variable is the changes of blood pressure. All of data was collected with measuring blood pressure. Before and after giving cucumber juice. The result of data collecting from 10 hypertension patient was analyzed with wilcoxon test by computerization with significant level (α) 0,05 and we gor (p) 0,034 as significant value. It is mean that significant value (p) was smaller than significant level (α) 0,05, H1 accepted. So, giving cucumber juice along 12 week to hypertension patient was effectif about changes in blood pressure. The conclution of this research is cucumber juice that gives to hypertension patient was effectif to descending blood pressure. The nurse community was able to gives healh education to hypertension patient to descending blood pressure naturally with eating cucumber juice twica a day with regular periode.
