PERAN PERAWAT SEBAGAI CARE GIVER

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Peran sebagai pemberi asuhan keperawatan (Care Giver) merupakan peran yang paling utama bagi seorang perawat. Perawat diharapkan mampu memberikan asuhan keperawatan dengan menggunakan proses keperawatan untuk mengidentifikasi masalah  keperawatan mulai dari masalah fisik, psikologis, sosial, spiritual.  Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi peran perawat sebagai care giver.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif.  Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah perawat yang ada di Ruang Pandan Wangi RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya. Berjumlah 18 orang perawat. Variabel yang diteliti adalah peran perawat sebagai care giver. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memberikan angket kuesioner  dan dianalisa menggunakan skor T. Hasil analisis skor-T menunjukkan bahwa perawat di Ruang Pandan Wangi RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya mempunyai peran negatif sebanyak 56% dan sisanya 44% mempunyai peran positif. Perawat yang memiliki peran positif menganggap bahwa peran sebagai care giver sangat penting untuk dilakukan. Peran itu ditunjukkan dengan melakukan pengkajian keperawatan, perumusan diagnosis keperawatan, penyusunan intervensi keperawatan, pelaksanaan implementasi keperawatan sampai dengan proses evaluasi keperawatan. Perawat yang berperan negatif mempunyai anggapan bahwa peran perawat tidak terlalu penting untuk dilakukan. Kegiatan yang dilabaikankan antara lain  melakukan proses evaluasi keperawatan  dan discharge planning Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini masih perlu ditingkatkan peran perawat dalam proses evaluasi keperawatan dan pemberian discharge planning. Dengan demikian diharapkan dapat memberikan pelayanan yang lebih optimal sehingga meningkatkan kepuasan pasien.

ABSTRACT

Role as provider of nursing care (Care Giver) is the most important role for a nurse. Nurses are expected to provide nursing care using the nursing process to identify nursing problems ranging from physical, psychological, social, spiritual. The purpose of this study was to identify the role of the nurse as care giver.Penelitian a descriptive study. The sample in this study is that nurses in hospitals Dr. Space Pandan Wangi. Soetomo. Were 18 nurses. The variables studied were the nurse's role as care giver. The research was conducted by giving questionnaires were analyzed using a questionnaire and scores T. T-score analysis results showed that nurses in hospitals Dr. Space Pandan Wangi. Soetomo have a negative role as much as 56% and the remaining 44% have a positive role. Nurses who have a positive role assume that role as care giver is very important to do. The role was demonstrated by performing nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis formulation, preparation of nursing interventions, nursing implementation to implementation evaluation of the nursing process. Nurses who have a negative role notion that the role of the nurse is not too important. Dilabaikankan activities that include the nursing process and discharge planning evaluation Based on the results of this study still needs to be improved evaluation of the role of nurses in the nursing process and the provision of discharge planning. It is expected to provide more optimized thereby increasing patient satisfaction.
