DESKRIPSI CITRA TUBUH PENYANDANG CACAT KUSTA

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah diketahuinya respon mantan pasien kusta yang cacat fisik terhadap citra tubuhnya di dusun Nganget Singgahan Kabupaten Tuban. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah semua mantan pasien kusta yang mengalami cacat fisik sebanyak  110 orang, besar sampel 86 orang yang dilakukan dengan simple random sampling. Pengambilan data dengan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa mantan pasien kusta yang cacat fisik sebagian besar (70%) berumur 41-60 tahun, sebagian besar (78%) laki-laki. Sebagian besar (71,4%)  yang memiliki respon maladaptive terhadap citra tubuhnya berumur 21-40 tahun dan lebih dari setengahnya (57,9%) berjenis kelamin  perempuan. Respon mantan pasien kusta laki-laki yang mengalami cacat fisik terhadap citra tubuhnya lebih adaptif (67,2% ) dibanding perempuan (42.1%). Diperlukan dukungan sosial dan pemberdayaan masyarakat sekitar untuk meningkatkan respon menjadi adaptif terhadap citra tubuh mantan pasien kusta yang mengalami cacat fisik.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is known response of former leprosy patients who are physically on his body image in the hamlet Nganget Singgahan Tuban. The study design was a descriptive cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all former leprosy patients who have physical disabilities as many as 110 people, a large sample of 86 people who performed with simple random sampling. Questionnaire data retrieval. The results showed that the former leprosy patients with physical disabilities the majority (70%) aged 41-60 years, the majority (78%) of men. Most (71.4%) who had a maladaptive response to body image 21-40 years old and more than half (57.9%) were female. Response former leprosy patient man who has a physical disability to more adaptive body image (67.2%) than women (42.1%). Necessary social support and empowerment of local communities to be an adaptive response to improve the image of the body of former leprosy patients who have physical disabilities
