PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF ANAK AUTISME MENGGUNAKAN METODE VISUAL LEARNER (MEDIA PECS) FASE I–III
Abstract
ABSTRAK
Anak Autisme mengalami hambatan dalam kemampuan pemahaman, komunikasi, interaksi sosial, pola bermain dan gangguan sensoris, perilaku serta gangguan emosi Theo Peeters,2009),termasuk kemampuan pengetahuan / kognitif. Tujuan penelitian ini membuktikan metode visual learner (media PECS ) fase I – III terhadap peningkatan kemampuan kognitif anak autis dengan di Aqil Chalep (Aqca) Center Surabaya.Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Experiment dengan menggunakan rancangan post test control group design. Populasi dan sampel anak autisme berumur 6 -12 tahun dengan jumlah sampel 9. Tekhnik pengambilan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Probability Sampling yaitu Simple Random Sampling. Analisa data menggunakan uji statistik Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test.Hasil penelitian dengan uji statistik Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test p = 0,000 < α = 0,05 yang berarti ada pengaruh metode visual learner ( media PECS ) fase I - III terhadap peningkatan kemampuan kognitif pada anak autism, sehingga disarankan institusi pelayanan kesehatan hendaknya memberikan pengetahuan kepada orang tua yang lengkap terutama kemampuan kognitif anak autisme dan perlunya optimalisasi secara berkelanjutan peran masyarakat terutama yang bergerak di bidang pelayanan kepada anak autisme penggunaan metode visual learner ( metode PECS ) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif pada anak autism serta hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar penelitian selanjutnya.

Including the ability knowledge / cognitive. The purpose of this research proves visual learner method ( media PECS ) phase I - III to the improvement of cognitive abilities in children with autism with Aqil Chalep ( Aqca ) Center Surabaya.This study uses Experiment design using the design of post test control group design.
