PERBEDAAN KADAR TIMBAL (Pb) PADA BUAH JAMBU BIJI MERAH (Psidium Guajava L) YANG DIJUAL DI PINGGIR JALAN DAN SUPERMARKET
Abstract
People often buys red guavas for sale at the roadside without knowing the dangers of lead
exposure that comes from the impurities of smoke in otomotive on the fruit, rather than in a
Supermarket that has a relatively better quality assured. The purpose of this research is to analyze
the difference of the levels of lead (Pb) in guava fruits (Guava guajava l.) sold at the roadside and
in the Supermarket on Jalan Waru, Sidoarjo. The method used is atomic absorption
Spectrophotometry (SSA). It brings the average levels of lead that are sold on the roadside of
1.6811 mg/kg, whereas the ones sold in supermarkets are negative. It can be concluded that there
is a difference in the levels of lead at Red guava fruit is sold by the roadside and in the
Supermarket.
